Event Programme

The Buy Local 2008 exhibition has now finished. The programme was as follows:

08.30 - exhibitor set up

10.00 - event opens to visitors

15.00 - event closes to visitors

The event featured a special demonstration by Nigel Haworth, one of the region's top chefs. A strong advocate of using local produce, Nigel is head chef at the Michelin Star rated Northcote Manor in Blackburn and he illustrated some of the wonderful results that can be achieved using locally procured food.

Also present at the event were representatives of the region's leading food producers associations and stalls where delegates were able to obtain details of publicly funded business support programmes such as UCLan's NW Centre for Waste Management.
